This year, we’re hoping to attend the 52nd MusicFest Canada (aka The Nationals) in Toronto in May 2024, and we need your help! From now until October 25th 2023, you can order Purdy’s chocolates through our fundraiser by joining our campaign online. Shop for gifts for family, friends, neighbours and yourself in one convenient place. Please note - all orders will be shipped to Whitehorse and will be distributed beginning November 25th 2023

What you’ll need to order:

  2. Click “Join Campaign” (after either registering as a new supporter or signing in as an existing one)

Are you an adult musician living in Whitehorse who would like to connect with other musicians to play Concert Band Music? Come to the first All-City Senior Wind Ensemble rehearsal on Tuesday 30th August at 7pm in Porter Creek Secondary School Band Room to find out more. Bring your instrument to play for the first hour and stay to hear about the year to come (finishing up around 9pm).

Hi Everyone and Welcome back!

All-City Senior and Junior Band Rehearsals start up again next week in Porter Creek Secondary School Band Room on Tuesday 30th August, 7pm-9pm (Senior Band) and Wednesday 31st August, 6:30pm-8pm (Junior Band). Jazz Band will be starting up on Thursday 8th September, 3:30pm-5pm.

Gucho Hin Sound and Video Recording

Hi everyone!

Monday 2nd May is just around the corner...it's almost time to lay down some tracks! Here is the video we will be adding sound and video to when we record Gucho Hin at the Yukon Arts Centre this Monday (call time 5:30pm). We are so grateful to Mr. Dennis Shorty and Ms. Jenny Froeling (together Dena Zagi) for coming all the way down to Whitehorse next week to help us interpret Gucho Hin and to play with us, for working with Keitha Clark to create this video and for so generously sharing Gucho Hin with us. Thank you Dena Zagi!

WHO: PCSS Grade 8s; FHC Grade 8/9s; Junior Band; Senior Band; The Fiddleheads and Dena Zagi

WHAT: Gucho Hin Sound and Video Recording

WHERE: Yukon Arts Centre

WHEN: Monday 2nd May, 5:30pm call time for 6pm start onstage (should be finished by 9pm)

WEAR: Concert Dress (Grade 8/9s and Junior Band - white top, dark pants/skirts with dark tights, dark shoes and Senior Band - all black, remember no logos especially in this case as we're recording and that we have extra clothes for anyone who needs them, just ask Marie, Mr. Moisey or Mr. James)

FOOD: try to eat before coming to the Yukon Arts Centre (we will also have some snacks on hand incase of peckishness)

Check out our Calendar for rehearsal details and upcoming events. Please note that we are still following our COVID operational plan so please remember to follow COVID protocols as before.

All-City Band members are now taking orders for Purdy's Chocolates! Are you looking to buy chocolates for friends, family or for yourself in time for Easter? If you order through All-City Band you can help support our members by contributing to their band accounts and helping them save up for band trips, instruments, supplies and even lessons.

So contact an All-City Band member near you or Marie at allcitybandwhitehorse@gmail.com to order soon. Paper order forms are due into All-City Band by Friday 4th March and online ordering will close on Monday 7th March.

Hi Purdy's Sellers,

I'm afraid we've been double booked for the PCSS cafeteria this Saturday (PCSS Grads also have a tasty fundraiser going on) so we are relocating to the MAIN FOYER of PCSS. Just come to the main entrance (instead of the cafeteria entrance) and through the main doors and you can pick up your chocolates there.

Hi everyone,

I'm afraid our Purdy's Chocolate Delivery will not make it in time for our scheduled pick up time this Saturday 27th November. The good news is that it is on it's way, the bad news is we're not sure when it will get here. Unfortunately the terrible floods that struck BC earlier this month disrupted the trucking schedule of the company Purdy's use as well as their tracking system. As soon as the delivery arrives (hopefully next week), I will let everyone know and we'll reschedule the pick up time.
